Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of CONNECT, a professional networking platform operated by CardBook at connect.cardbook.biz. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use CONNECT.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to use CONNECT. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your profile and for keeping access to your account secure. Membership is granted at our discretion and may be reviewed.

2. What CONNECT is

CONNECT helps members discover one another, request warm introductions, and take part in events. We facilitate connections and events but are not a party to any agreement, deal, or relationship that members form with each other. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, introduction, or business result.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add to your profile. By posting it, you grant CONNECT a licence to display it to other members and to operate the service. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it. Keep it truthful and professional.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Harass, spam, mislead, or abuse other members.
• Misrepresent your identity, company, or role.
• Scrape, harvest, or misuse other members' data, or use CONNECT to send unsolicited marketing.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the platform.
• Use CONNECT for anything unlawful.

5. Plans, tokens & payments

Some features rely on membership plans or connection tokens. Where a paid plan or payment applies, the price and terms are shown before you commit. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated.

6. Events

Applying for an event does not guarantee a place; admissions are reviewed. Confirming attendance (RSVP) is a courtesy that helps us plan, and you can change your answer. Event details may change, and events may be rescheduled or cancelled.

7. Suspension & termination

You may stop using CONNECT and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the platform, or where necessary to protect members or the service.

8. Disclaimers

CONNECT is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for the conduct of any member or for any dealings between members.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardBook and CONNECT are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost profits or opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and forms part of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of CONNECT after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
